Exhibition to introduce

关于“青年艺术”生态的讨论实际上有两个重要的意涵:一个是狭义上的青年艺术家的创作;另一个是立足于美术史的叙事,即在不同阶段与发展时期,涌现出的青年艺术现象与艺术思潮。
中国艺术研究院院长、党委书记韩子勇曾表示:“青年和艺术都令人回味。古今中外的优秀文艺作品大多是艺术家在青年时期创造出来的。艺术的生命力是人赋予的,青年是人生四季生命力、创造力最旺盛的时期。艺术天然地和青年站在一起,青年也最需要援助,援助青年艺术家就是援助艺术的未来。”
本次参展的青年艺术家们正值创作盛年,绝大部分出身于专业美术院校,经历过严格的科班训练,在技巧层面上已经有了相当丰厚的积累,体现出学院派特有的素养和气质。不过,在观念上,他们都不同程度地越过了学院传统,将精神的触角延伸到文化和社会层面,从而体现出鲜明的人文情怀和哲性思索。
Ta们的作品充满活力,完全是以一种开放式的思维、个人化的表达方式,观照历史、关怀人文,直面人类的生存困境和自我的精神困惑。虽然他们的艺术道路还只是刚刚开始,在许多方面可能还不够成熟,但在对这个现存世界的把握方面,在对艺术的个人化呈现方面,均表现出各自独立的创造精神。
巴尔扎克在《人间喜剧》中写道:人的生命的大部分都是致力于从心灵深处来拔掉自己青年时代的幼芽。这种手术就叫做经验的获得。青年艺术家们的艺术道路,任重道远,但走来一路,都是风景。
The outstanding contracted young artists in this exhibition are in their prime of creation. Most of them come from professional art colleges and have accepted strict training. They have accumulated a considerable amount of skills, reflecting the unique qualities and temperament of the academy. However, in terms of concept, they have gone beyond the college tradition to varying degrees, extending their spiritual tentacles to the cultural and social levels, thus reflecting their distinct humanistic feelings and philosophical thinking.
Their works are full of vitality, with an open thinking and a personalized way of expression, observing history, caring for humanity, and facing the dilemma of human survival and the spiritual confusion of selfs. Although their artistic path is still just beginning and may not be mature in many aspects, they all show their independent creative spirit in the grasp of the existing world and the personalized presentation of art. Young artists have a long way to go, but they are all scenery along the way.
